Newbie question

Sorry if this is a dumb question. I am new to soapmaking. Took a class and saw hot process soap made and have a recipe to try on my own.

My question is can I use any recipe I find online or does it have to say for hot process? Can you use a recipe that is for cold process.

Its just what process you prefer, right?

Hi Jamie!

Yes, you can use any CP recipe for HP as long as you put the recipe through a good lye calculator first, and then make sure that you use the full water amount recommended by the lye calculator for the recipe.
