Hi,

I'm Daniël. I'm from the Netherlands. I've been a wet shaving enthousiast for quite a while now and I'm anxious to learn about soap making. Some things will be difficult because English is not my mother language. Do you guys make balm or other body products as well?

Hi Daniel and welcome. Many of us make multiple products. Soap, shave soap, lip balms, scrubs, lotions, bath bombs, perfumes, liquid soap, etc....much talent on this forum.

Many from other countries and English is not their mother language either.

I can speak it, read it, and write it but I was born in Canada. My parents are from Friesland and I was married to a Dutch man for 23 years.

This is a great place to learn and talk about anything soapy.

Ik begeef me vooral op de Engelse sites
Daar is veel kennis op te doen en ervaring
In Nederland is de regelgeving heel streng dus dat verdient wel aandacht
Zeep valt volgens onze wet onder cosmetica en die moet je eerst in een lab laten keuren voordat je ook maar mag denken aan verkopen dus houd daar rekening mee
Ik heb een lab gezien die rekent vanaf 350 euro voor een stabilisatie test
Maar als je niet wilt verkopen dan is dat natuurlijk geen punt
Ik koop oa bij 'de hekserij' en "de online zeepwinkel"
Maar als je net begint kan je ook gewoon een emmertje kokosolie bij de action halen en een fles olijfolie bij de Appie en wat gootsteen ontstopper bij de Kruidvat voor je basis
Geur en kleur zou ik me later druk om maken...maar is wel leuk natuurlijk
Je kan het water vervangen door koffie bv of spirulina door de zeep doen

Nice to meet you, too. Leeuwarden is a beautiful city. I've been there a few times. And, yes, I've seen Us Mem.

For those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about, Us Mem (tr. Our Mother) is a bronze cow, situated in the Frisian city of Leeuwarden. The sculpture was a gift from the joint cattle traders to celebrate the anniversary of the Frisian Cattle Studbook.

Kijk! Dat zijn leuke tips? Waar haal je goed EO of FO? Wat voor effect heeft spirulina op een zeep? Heeft een opwekkend karakter maar qua kleur?

Vooral de kleur,is blauw groen
Fo en eo ben ik ook voordurend aan het testen nog,ik heb een herfstgeur volgens mij van zeepwinkel gekocht en die bevalt goed
Vooral vaak 10 ml flesjes kopen en ruiken en kijken hoe de zeep er op reageert
Als het aan mij ligt koop ik nog eens uit Amerika geur,die zetten er ook bij hoe hij in de zeep zich gedraagt

Welcome, Daniël. I absolutely loved Amsterdam when we visited for the first time just last month. I wish we could have seen more of the country, but Amsterdam was certainly a wonderful city. I loved that there are more bicycles than people and the public transportation system is so very good.
