A soap I made using the Bastile soap recipe by @AliOop (minus the goat mik powder). The olive oil was infused with paprika and it was a lovely vermillion red. I was almost sorry to use it 😁 Once mixed and soaped, it mellowed to this peachy colour.

Love the color, hope it stays that way! Too bad I'm lazy to make infusions, I dump the paprika right with the oils 😁

This is my first attempt using Himalayan Rhubarb Root from Anne George's. The color in person is more cherry red than in the picture. I measured 2.5 teaspoons of rhubarb into 250 g olive oil in a mason jar. Put the mason jar in a crockpot on high for several hours. Then let it sit at room temperature in a cupboard for a week or so. Not too happy with the swirls - I was going for more of a layered look - but the red is awesome!

FYI ... if you use Himalayan Rhubarb Root you will want to gel the soap. I also made some samples in individual molds that did not gel, and they are a pale pink.

How did you make the cubes? 😲
They were made with extruded diamond shapes and little chevron shapes - and then pieced together - the diamonds came with the extruder, the chevron I cut out of a plastic cutting board. The tiny cubes were made by putting three colors at a time through an extruder with a small hexagon. It’s sort of hard to describe all of this…
