Hi all.
I have two friends who would very much like to use the shampoo I make.
One friend is very much on the "sulfate-free" no hydrogenated anything pulpit. The other is pregnant.
Given the following ingredients for my poo bars, are there any suggestions for changes to the ingredients to reduce risk in pregnancy and/or meet the demands of my "sulfate-free/nonhydrogenated" friend:
Surfs:
SLSa
SCI
Baby Blend Concentrate
Incroquat CR
Cetyl Alcohol
butter of choice
oil of choice
Silk
Panthenol
Cetac
Fragrance (no EO)
Liquid Germall Plus
I suspect that I am pretty safe with the friend who hates sulfates, but am wondering if there is any cause for concern regarding pregnancy. Does this sound too cautious of me? I know I can make each bar differently and am considering doing just that. I just wanted to try to make a bar that served both camps.
I used Swiftcraftmonkey's basic recipe from her POI blog (thank you Susan!) and just switched things up slightly.
Does anyone know of a reliable source for toxicology for BB ingredients? I have been to Skin Deep, but didn't know if there were biases involved in the reviews.
MSDS isn't all that helpful sometimes.
Finally, I don't suspect that pregnant women tend to switch to using a different shampoo during pregnancy, do they? After all, it's a wash-off product.
Suggestions for changing anything ingredient-wise?
