NaOH solution + Alcohol

Alcohol and NaOH are not a good combination in soap making. Why are you asking?

I tried it by mixing alcohol and NaOH solution and the solution became much more basic isn't it? Then, when I added it to the oils, it started to foam. This is a bad thing?
