As you can tell by the subject line, I'm having a problem with my most recent batch of soap. I've used this recipe before and never had an issue. It came to trace as normal, but it seemed to take a bit longer to reach gel phase than I expected it to. Now, 2 days later, it still looks like it's in the middle of gel phase. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas as to why this would have happened.

Recipe:
Coconut Oil - 25%
Beef Tallow - 10%
Grapeseed Oil - 10%
Sweet Almond Oil - 10%
Oilve Oil - 45%

Lye - 8.7 ounces
Water - 7 ounces
Coconut Milk - 16 ounces

3 ounces of fragrance oil

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry about that. It's a 6 pound batch.
Ok; that's 96 ozs. Just for s hits and giggles I put 96 ozs. of coconut oil into my lye calc. Your water/milk looks fine, but according to my calculations, you need more lye. In my example, for 96 ozs. ozs. of coconut oil, you would need 16.4 ozs. of lye for a 7% lye discount (also called superfat). I would recheck your recipe. Which lye calc do you use?
