I began with the idea that 1 lb of oils plus one lb of salt would equal 2 lbs of soap, as my tea tree batch blew up to 5lbs from 2 lbs of oil. This I believe was my first mistake. (working with too little of an oil base, it cooled off faster.)

I split the batch off and added red french clay and pink salts to one part of the batter and as I was mixing that the white part (with regular salts) of the batter was cooling. DOH!

Now, over to the white batch. My Beloved added the salt and began to whip with the stick blender. He said that the batter instantly became "rock hard." As he was working with the white batter I was putting the red batter into the mold. by the time I got to the white batter, it was crumbly snow.

SO, per Obsidian's post on rebatching, I made another batter of TWO lbs coconut oil and lye/water solution as I weighed the white snow concoction and it leveled out to be around one lb. (taking the two to one advice)
Once we got that traced we then slowly added the snow like crumbles, stick blended quickly and then placed it on top of the pink batter that was already in the mold. There was enough to mold just the snow white batter on its own just in case the white does not stick to the red. We will see. We should be unmolding within the hr.

I will most likely never add heat to my salt bars while processing again! (this was all done in the crockpot)
LOL! GOES FAST!!! Also, we added peppermint e.o. in the beginning, not sure if that added to the super hyper speed of the set!
Will keep you posted!
