OMG, that’s wild. Maybe I’m seeing orange due to my Mac iPad screen???It was actually supposed to be pink. I used Queen of Hearts Mica from Nurture. I wanted a nice, pinkish-red color. I think the Shea and rice bran oil turned it orange.

I don't think so, it's pretty orange in person too! This is what it looks like in the light.
If you look REALLY closely, it looks like little tiny rivers of pink in an orange base.
I have noticed that my rice bran oil tends to yellow my recipe somewhat more than the extra light olive oil I sometimes use.
I can see those wisps of pinker soap. So interesting… The RBO I use also produces a bit of a yellow/tan hue.

I'm math challenged, and very confused about something. Each of these soaps are all made in the same size mold. The two on the left are 16oz batches, made individually. The ones on the right are from a 64oz batch I split 4 ways. I used different recipes, but the same lye concentration and everything. I'm surprised at the very different volumes of the two different recipes. I wonder if one recipe's oils are more dense than the other?
They are all micas from Nurture Handmade.Wow @MrsZ what are you using to color? Ithe saturation of the color!
They are Green Vibrance, Savage Garden, Eye of the Tiger, and Material Girl micas, respectively.
