Are those pieces of Sheetrock? I think I would try and find something that will not absorb the dampness from the bars when curing. Maybe plexiglass?
No, they are crafter's foam board. I just bought it specifically for this.

I also try to cure them for the first couple weeks on a plastic shelf before moving them to the tall shelf. Will the foam board cause problems for the soap? I figured since it's non-metallic it should be fine.

I was a little worried there - thanks!

This is my Jasmine flower soap. I had intended to do a white drop swirl into a green base, but it accelerated and ended up with squiggly stripes instead.

I was told to put my soap pictures in the photo gallery, so here they are. :)

Here is a Lavender Sage drop swirl:

And my last batch, a drop swirl scented with Lilac Blossoms from Nurture Handmade:

The sun was just right in these photos. They don't glow quite this much in person!
Beautiful!!

I read a tutorial on Nurture Handmade about how to use an accelerating FO to your advantage today. She made a 3 layer soap, adding FO only to the layer she was about to pour, then repeating it with each layer. I had a tiny bottle of the exact same FO used in the recipe, so I tried it out. I couldn't get my layers flat, but I like the character it ended up with. My son said it should be called Oceans Blue, because it reminds him of the different oceanic depth zones.

Fragrance oil is Aromatherapy from Nurture. Excuse the unbeveled edges and soap crumbs please!

You are fine there! I was just concerned that Sheetrock would be disastrous. This was simply my vision telling me “Sheetrock” instead of plastic. 😊
