I have a silly (well...its silly in my mind...but then again I'm functioning on not much sleep right now) question.

Now that I have a basic CP recipe that I'm happy with, I want to make a large bucket of a 'master batch' of my oils/butters. I remember someone mentioning this concept a while back....but haven't been able to locate the post I'm looking for. Would I just multiple my original measurements of each oil/butter by X, then mix them together? Then when I want to soap, measure out the total oil/butter weight on my origial and use my original lye water amount?

Sorry if this doesn't make more sense. I'm trying to cut down on my production time a bit. With a 6yr old, a 7 yr old, a 7 month old puppy, and a new puppy on the way....I've realy got to take advantage of each and every bit of 'down' time I find!!!

yes - multiply and mix (make sure the blend is homogeneous! even when cool!) and you are good to go. scoop out your total oils weight for each batch and yes, use your regular lye & water amounts.
