I am so excited i made my 1st batch of soap yesterday. it is olive oil, canola and coconut oil. i added lavender eo and oatmeal at trace. i cut it today and it smells yummy and looks pretty good for my 1st time. it feels great to know i made it. I am so tempted to use it.

That's why I started doing hp. I make one cp and one hp;) lol, not really. I do both though.:)

oh you can use your soap when it's out of the mold (assuming it's zap free...). while it'll mellow over the first 2 weeks, and continue to harden over the first 4 (and get better lather-wise) your soap should be perfectly fine to try right away.

tho I wouldn't recommend selling or giving away for at LEAST the 2 weeks, pref longer.

If you lick the soap ad it zaps, it has too much lye in it. I'm looking forward to the pics :)

Well done - I have washed with my freshly unmoulded soap - there was a little zap, but I rub pure clove oil on my skin sometimes - a little zap is nothing!!! DONT TRY THIS AT HOME!

Yes , Do not use it , it is lye heavy . You could do a search for lye heavy soap and what can be done with it . I believe there are several ways to deal with lye heavy soap .
