lye?

So i purchased some drain cleaner that contains sodium hydroxide and surfactants as the ingredients, can I use that?? or does it need to be strictly lye? Any help would be great!!

No, you need 100% sodium hydroxide.

Yes, it needs to be 100% sodium hydroxide. However, you may be able to find some with the other drain cleaners.

The bottle will state 100% lye. I wouldn't use anything else.
