Lye Discount???

I am using the lye calculator and I am using the 2:1 for Lye/Water concentration which equals 33.333% Lye concentration for 5.75lb of soap, is this correct?

2:1 is a 33.33333333333333333333% solution, yes.

that's 2 parts water + 1 part lye, so the lye is 1/3 of the total - which equals 33.33333333333333333333333333333333333333333%

how much soap you are making doesn't enter into that part.

are you using soapcalc.com?
what is the superfat set at? and what are you thinking of making?

adjusting the lye amount doesnt' change the concentration - you do those separately. if you increase the superfat/lye discount (same thing, more or less) the calculator will adjust the water to keep the concentration the same.
