I'm trying to come up with a Sugar Scrub for Lips, but am having trouble getting the sugar incorporated into the balm properly. I'd prefer to put this in a standard lip balm tube as opposed to a jar, but if that's the best way to go about it, then so be it
I'm using my basic lip balm recipe and adding sugar, though I'm still trying to figure out how much sugar is best too. I've tried pouring the melted oils and letting them sit a bit to firm up slightly, then adding sugar and stirring, but it doesn't work well in the tube and makes a BIG mess. I've also tried mixing sugar into the melted oils before pouring, but it just sits at the bottom of the oils (not surprisingly). I can only assume that the balm must start to solidify before the sugar is stirred or added so it's suspended, but I can't seem to figure out how best to do get everything combined.
Any thoughts are welcome. Thanks!
