I have a linen spray I use, but am thinking about making to sell it. If so I would need an emulsifier and preservative.

I used witch hazel, so it doesnt seperate a lot, but I would still want to emulsify.

I would like to stay as chemically free as possible. Suggestions for emulsifer and preservative?

Thanks..

You could try some Polysorbate 80. That will help emulsify it. As for preservative, you may not need it for a linen spray with the witchhazel. I could be wrong though.

I don't sell, but I make a linen spray for me and my family and friends in which I use Polysorbate 80 to emulsify. It works beautifully. I don't use a preservative because of the very high alcohol content in my spray, though, so I don't have any advice for you in regards to what would work for your formula. Hopefully someone else in the know will chime in soon.

I have read 60%, but that may or may not be accurate. Remember that rubbing alcohol is only 70 - 90%, vodka or everclear is 40-90%, so make sure you account for that in your math.
