My sister asked for some Lilac Soap for her birthday. I made some the other night, and made such a mess! I used the PVC molds and tried to swirl. Needless to say there was purple lilac stinking stuff everywhere! When I was making it I thought it was horrible and strong smelling, but I took it out of the molds last night and it isn't that bad. I might slice it up tonight and see if there is any semblence of a swirl in there....

I think lilac is great too.....love lilac vegetal aftershave! :)

Have you thought about doing an in the pot swirl, and then pouring to your PVC?

I have never heard of that....how would I do that?

Basically....blend your soap to a light trace......remove some from the pot and color with your purple, and then pour back into the pot. Swirl ever so lightly with a rubber spatula and then pour.

The effect is different, but it's pretty. You can also make "ribbons" by pouring it back into the pot and then immediately pouring it into the mold without the swirl. :)
