I was making a test batch of CP Lilac (Indiana Candle), & it seized as soon as I walked 2 feet to get the mold.
I've never had a total seize like that. I put it into the metal soap pot and have put it in the oven
at 200 degrees, to see if I can get it melted down again to put into the mold. Is that oven temp too high?
How long do I leave it in the oven? Do I need to add something to it. I only have 1% milk on hand, &
have never gone thru this.
Should I try something else? There was NO getting it into the mold. It was bowl-shaped when I tried
scraping it out.
I know florals are tricky, & should have been better prepared. I have used Peak's Lilac, and had no problems with it.
But this was closer to home, & I do love other of their fragrances.
If anyone has any advice, feel free to share! I'd like to some how save this soap.
Thanks!
