Me Too!! I've been thinking the same thing. I want to try the Oak Barrel Cider for sure. Fall is my FAVORITE season. Gonna start "scanning" the fo sites for new fall scents.
I just tried Cranberry Apple Marmalade from Peak since honor435 highly recommeded it. It does accelerate (but not badly) and it does discolor but the scent is awesome. It did start to rice but I SB'd the crap out of it and it seems fine. I haven't cut it yet but I'll post pics after I cut it.
Last year, I did Autumn Wreath and Autumn Lodge from WSP, Arabian Spice (should be Autumn Spice) from BB and Witching Hour from Nature's Garden. This year, I did Apple Jack & Peel and made a Hunter's soap (Dirt, sweetgrass f/o, cedarwood and fir needle e/o's), that's it for fall. Cashmere Woods (WSP) is a nice camp fire type scent.
I just ordered a ton of fall and winter scent samples. I will report back with any winners. I agree that the NG crackling birch smells great oob, haven't soaped it yet.
The Cashmere Woods from WSP smelled really funny to me(great description, eh). Then I realized too late that the usage rate for soap is 3.8% correct me if I'm wrong, math is not my strong suit but I think that is about .6 oz ppo. It throws me off if the usage rate is that low. It's one thing if you don't need to use as much but doesn't seem good if you shouldn't use as much.
I'm looking forward to sampling Autumn Leaves from AH/RE.
How is Witching Hour, Bayougirl? Don't know how I missed that one. No matter how many hundreds of FOs you try there is always something you miss!
