So I have a bit of left over oils and I am pretty sure all of them make a hard bar. I don't want to have something extremely hard. Just want something average or just a bit harder then average soap.

Let me list what I have and some other things I have lying around the house.

Castor oil
Coconut oil
Peanut oil
Avacado Oil

Also have cocoa butter
Buttermilk powder
Oatmeal...
Found some honey too.

Can you suggest what I could do with these?

Do you have some salt?
You could make a salt bar (look for the threads on here about those)-- they typically have a high CO content-- 80% or so. You can add the castor for bubbles. Use your buttermilk (if it's powdered, reconstitute it, and use it for your liquid). Throw in some avocado oil for superfatting goodness.

:)
Yum.
Have you made a salt bar? The most important difference lies in how quickly it is ready to cut-- anywhere from 2-5 hours from the time you pour.

I have never made a salt bar. Trying something new sounds fun though. I will look for some threads on it then. =D

Though, what is the use of a salt bar.. or benifit..

I've honestly never seen one before.. well other then pictures.

I found one.. off the forum because I could not find a thread that had shown a recipe I could use.

82.5% Coconut oil
12.5% Avocado oil
5% Castor oil
Medium Size Sea Salt equal to the weight of oils
15% Super Fat
20% water discount

I feel lost in time as I haven't done conversions in awhile. I am sure I will figure this out.. probably alter the recipe just slightly.

there were some great pictures of salt bars posted and I ca't find them now. These were nice white individual bars...if anyone finds please post the thread, I want to read it again...thanks
