I just wanted to share some photos of a few of my recent creations. I made this l made Lavender Martini last weekend, and Candy Corn, Absinthe, and Rosemary Infused Oil a few weeks ago.

This is the Lavender Martini:

I wrapped them up in a fat quarter for a friend who likes quilting. I thought she could use the fat quarter after the soap is gone. I am giving her these four soaps today to try. Hopefully she will like them! This is my first soap gift to someone, so I am excited!

when working with soaps topped with botanicals, try turning the log on its side to cut so you don't get marks from pushing/dragging the material down through the soap.

Nice soaps for a nice gift! Your packaging is very thoughtful, I'm sure your friend will like them.

*carebear, i like your new 'title'

Thanks carebear, I will try that next time. I did not think the flowers would be hard enough to make lines in the soap, but I noticed some flowers were getting stuck on my knife as I was cutting and being ground into the soap. I guess if soap is soft enough to stamp then it is soft enough to get botanical damage! Oh well, that is why I am practicing and learning, and why loads of soap will be given away to friends! The soap is still pretty and useable, but little improvements like you mentioned just come with practice!

They look like they smell so good! And the fat quarter is a brilliant idea! Natural and useful gift wraps are so thoughtful!
