I’m trying lots a new techniques this year and doing more bar work (mostly molds last year). Today I tried the Kiss technique. I was so nervous my hands were shaking (it was my 1st kiss 😆), and the kiss got a little too deep at times. I used 5 colors, blue, purple, pink, green, white and black. No idea what the inside will look like, but here’s the top. I am putting in the freezer this time as I do sometimes get a partial gel with frig with goat milk soap. Also added some sugar which I’ve never done in the past. All these new things in December!, what will the new year bring!! 🤪

Don't you need to cut this horizontally to see the color lines?
I’m going to cut it both ways. The video I saw was a basic vertical cut. @Servant4Christ told me I could do a cut every 2 1/2” and then turn on its face and cut to make it horizontal. It’s now thawing in the frig, maybe tonight but likely tomorrow. Waiting is hard!!

Gorgeous! My kiss pour looked like raw bacon.
I had a topping once that looked like raw bacon, but people liked it (they didn’t see bacon). I love your soap in the profile pic!!

I'm looking forward to seeing your cut! I know the waiting is sooo hard!

I literally have 2 marking lines on my DIY soap cutter/ cheese cutter: 1 inch and 2.5 inch specifically for this purpose.

Ok, guilty! I should have waited longer for the frig phase. Little soft on the cut. I felt like my colors stayed bright (maybe my camera lens is dirty). I don’t see a lot of difference between the two, except you’ll have the top on 1/2 of the backs. Maybe I should pour slower? No more of that deep kissing!!
