Hi everyone,

Another question.....

Ive had a couple of mucked up batches (well more than a couple ;), I have had a problem with ricing after I have added the frag oil (mite be quality issue?)
I have managed to get some in the molds before they get to bad, they are not the best looking soaps but have so many goodies in them....I'm wondering if they are still safe to use?

I read somewhere that they get lye clumps and mine have a few whitish bits in them.

thanks

Sorry, I'd like to help, but I can't. I'm soaping more than a year, till now no problems. But yesterday I had huge problem, seems to me like rised soap, after I put fragrances (vanilla, blueberry) at light trace. I finished somehow, now I'm thinking to rebatch (I think that could be done?).So I will watch this thread. Does anybody have good picture of rised soap?

As long as there are no lye pockets, they should be safe to use.

Somewhere I read about beating the hell out of ricing soap and making it smooth again. Can't recall where I read it

Sometimes that works; other times it won't. I had a pumpkin soap last year that riced and never came together, even with cooking it.
