its a web hosting site by deluxeforbusiness.com
i like the looks of it but am kinda being overwhelmed by all the big words.
theres the option to start up from free & then theres different upgrade options, each with their own set of perks but again big words go right over my head.
can someone look at it & explain the stuff to me please...what does it all mean?

i suggest you back up a few steps and research more about how to start and run a business. I'm sure your state has some agencies that can help you for free. Or, I dunno, try the library? Google?

Hiya Nessy -

I took a quick look at what they have to offer. First of all, their free site won't help you at all. It basically just let's you put some text on a pre-made site, and absolutely nothing else. You can't add your own logo, graphics, additional pages, or sell anything. It's just a way to try to get you to buy some of their services.

Secondly, if setting up a site like this is too technical for you, then you probably need some help. If you're not a computer person, get a friend or family who is to help you out.

When you do set up a site like this (and I would recommend not using marketjuice because of their shady tactics), it'll be with some service where you have to pay monthly for an online store.

You can also try selling things on Ebay, but with them you'll have to pay fees with each sale.

Good luck!

Eric

hey erics thx so much for checkin that out for me. i'm definitely not the brightest nut in the shell when it comes to website/computer stuff lol but i know the internet sales route could potentially expand my customer base a whole lot further then personal in town sales. i even considered mail cataloging & probly will still do it so theres a variety of options for potential customers to choose from but that would take loads of time between receiving an order, billing the payment, making the order, & then shipping it. the internet is so much more instant & would help with all of that except making an order & shipping it, of course.
i've heard of web design consultants but the thing with consultants is they charge so much for just their advice & then lord only knows how much more they'd charge to actually create the site their customer wants...
so yeah. although i'm nowhere near ready to actually start up anything at the moment i'm getting all the info i can & arming myself with the knowledge i need so i can figure out the baby steps i'll need to do to finally get something like this up & running.
