Okay, I think I am getting the hang of things. This is scented with BB's Indian Sandalwood and I did the color with red oxide colorant from WSP.

/me applauds you. Congrats Badger, looks like the third time was a charm for a perfect soap result. I was wondering where you had been, now I know :D How clsoe to sandlewood would you say that scent is, out of curiosity? It's one I've been looking at.

I usually think of sandalwood incense when I think of sandalwood or sometimes sandalwood powder or beads that I have had. I have never had a sandalwood EO before, so I can't compare it to the EO, but in comparison to the sandalwood I know this has a more powdery scent to it, and while it has some of the scent it just doesn't seem to capture me the way I was hoping it would. I have Amyris (West Indian Sandalwood) EO and it is closer but still not quite there.

So, I am still on the lookout for a sandalwood FO that I can use as my regular supply of the fragrance. I recently saw a site that had a FO called sandalwood incense which might be something for me to try. I just don't remember where I saw it now! I have looked at a lot of fragrance sites recently :)

Thank you for all the nice compliments :) I am really enjoying making soaps and looking forward to trying something new today ;-)

Your soap is beautiful, and I really like the swirls. I will have to include the red oxide in my next order to WSP.
