Anyone want to share their 'in progress' right now or just recently?
I just finished my first lanolin/cocoa butter and tried it in my m&p tray which makes me nervous since lano is said to be a sticky bar. I've worked with it for years now and hope I did right in the recipe.

On the bottom I dusted brown and yellow mica as a test of sort.
Don't mind the mess, the one thing I can't figure out is how to get the mold amount right, always have too much and I've done the .40 calculation stuff and soapcal.

It's peppermint EO with a bit of lime so green also, just can't see it with my iphone pic and the fridge light. :/
I can post again when I get them out and cut to see if they are at least formed well. It firmed up nicely after just 15 min so there is promise! And calculations were ok.. will see!

Nice looking soap! I don't have anything in progress other than thinking about CaliChan's Simon & Garfunkel soap challenge. I know what I want to do but I don't have the colors. So, it's either order the colors or pick a different song. Decisions, decisions.

That looks divine. I don't have anything going on in the soap kitchen right now we are landscaping a new yard..I would rather be making soap!!

Ooh I love the swirl and the scent.. that one is one of my top 3 favorite scents and I have about 150 here, not to mention all the others I had before. :) I call mine "Happy" because it seriously makes me smile. Great for bath and body. :)

Is that the WSP 2 pound mold? I have mixed results with that and CP.. works great for my M&P.

Thank you!

This is the first time I attempted the Dandelion Zebra Swirl. I saw the inspiration on this forum but the person's name escapes me at the moment, sorry! I'll post cut pictures soon. I tried out some new micas from Peak and hope they don't morph into something hideous.

Here is mine this am after 18 hours or so. Not sure how I feel about it. Won't do mica again since its rubbing off when not blended (note taken!) but the soap feels firm yet creamy so potential!
Smells great too.

Anyone know if the soap itself will help keep the mica from sticking while washing or should I cut the top layer off?

Beautiful soaps!
Today I made Pumpkin Pie soap. Scented with fo of same name from AH/RE, and colored with a mixture of brick red oxide and yellow oxide to achieve an orangy/brown color. A little cinnamon added for speckles. Topped with uncolored (white/cream) soap. Popped into oven to give gel a good start. Will see what I have in the morning.
(I will have to remove soap from oven later this evening, so I can cook, dang-it!) :-?

I just moved. I get my household good tomorrow! My first order of business before I go back to work (took 1.5 weeks off to unpack and just settle in) is liquid soap for hand washing, powdered laundry soap, and shampoo bars. I hope all of my soaping equipment survived the trip!!!

Jenneelk- nice soap! The mica on the top should 'settle in' if you premixed the mica with some oil. How does the lanolin feel?

Sammi - beautiful swirls. Can't wait to see cut pics and how the mica's came out for you.

It feels great and is quite dry right now. The mica mixed in with the spray oil I used but that is all. I rubbed top with paper towel and some came off.
Hope it settles in over time.
Hate to have brown stuff when washing.
