I'm getting better I think

Two soaps I made yesterday. The first is a ITP swirl scented with Monkey Farts. Doing three colors was nerve wracking and I think the green seems to dominate but over all I'm happy. The second ones are my second attempt at doing a black and white swirl, the bars are shorter than I wanted I guess I didn't make quite enough batter. These are scented with Blue Agave.

the first one reminds me of a Van Gogh painting. Really nice.

Pretty! I love the black and white one.
I have not used black color yet but think I will do a black and white or black and red and white with Anise EO.

Does Anise really smell like black licorice? I hate that smell so I have been wanting to ask if it is a strong scent, my husband loves it.

Yes. I have not soaped with it yet but I think it would be similar to black licorice, which I love. I know many don't like black licorice.

Anise does indeed smell like black licorice, which seems to be a love/hate scent. If you add a little Sweet Orange to it, it softens it a bit. If you add Clove it smells like men's cologne. If you want the depth and sweetness, but not so much of the licorice smell, use it at about 10% of your EO blend.

Anise smells exactly like black licorice!!!! I had some hunters soap made with anise and my mom LOVED it because it smelt exactly the way black licorice tastes. YUCK!! To me at least. Some ppl it.

That's good to know because That smell just makes me gag but my husband absolutely loves it so I was wondering if I could manage to make some w/o puking. lol

These look great! Does monkey farts smell like bananas? If you named your soap this, little boys would probably love this. Lol your coloring looks nice!!! Blue Agave reminds me of Tequila! Anywho, great job!

I just bought Monkey Farts FO today! I saw one called Easter Bunny Burps, too, but I resisted.

Anyway, your soaps look so nice. I wish I could smell them! Especially the Monkey Farts. lol
