Well, I "tried" It got REALLY thick REALLY fast and this is also when I tried using the Wilton Iceing coloring! We'll see how long the color last. IT's not the worst thing ever, I thinks it's fun, but not the best for sure!

I'm new to soaping and never tried a swirl but I think it looks just fine, you will improve with practice.

I did not have any luck trying to swirl room temp CP. It would thicken way too fast - hardly needed the SB. Then I started heating my oils and lye solution to 110 - and it works a lot better now. Doesn't thicken as fast. I love having the lye solution and oils ready to go whenever I'm ready. It doesn't take long to heat oils to 110. And all I have to do to heat up lye is add the additional water to the 50/50 solution and it heats up on its own :wink:

I guess I'm just trying to say keep at it, you'll find some method that works for you.

Well, I don't suppose we can technically call it a "swirl," but I love it! Especially the textured top. You should see my first attempt :shock: Fortunately, I got the knack with some practice and so will you.

what i learned just this wk is that you dont have to bring to a thick trace, only mixed well, it CAn be runny, it will give you more time to swirl.
