how/where to find out if you are allowed to sell homemade b&b

I'm thinking about starting b&b business. Does anybody know where can I find out the regulations regarding selling homemade b&b (website, agency, etc)? I live in NY.

You will need to find out if NY has any state-wide regulations in place for cosmetics/B&B or soap. The best place for you to research your regulations would be your own city/county's government's website to download any forms you may need. You can also call your local government (for me, it was the County Court Clerk's office) and ask them specifically what is required to start a business selling handmade bath & body items.

For me, in TN, since we don't have any state-wide regulations like Florida, all I had to do was file the business license with the county and register with TN's Department of Revenue for a sales tax number. If I had lived within city limits, I would have needed to file a business license for the city as well.
