how much vegetable glycerin in toner??

What is the standard amount of vegetable glycerin that could be added to toner? I made a batch using 1% of my total and it seems a little bit sticky. Is this too much? Now what about using polysorbate 20...is 1% okay? My mixture is holding together and hasn't separated yet from my essential oils that i added. I also used a green tea extract at 1%...could more be used or should I stay at 1%?

I believe, and hopefully someone will correct me if I'm wrong, that poly-20 is used in a ratio of 1:1 with your EO or FO. That's how I use it for my linen sprays.
I don't know that answer to your other questions though!

okay, so let me make sure I understand this....if i use say 8 total drops of essential oils, than I would use 8 drops of poly 20? I am not using any FO's in this batch.
