Just thought I'd put this out there cause I'm so curious. How many bars do you have curing right now? I have approximately 140 and I'm not selling (yet). And while I'm at it - how many bars do you make in a batch? I make 20 at a time. They are about 5-5.5 oz each. Am I nuts or average?

I probably have a like amount; I keep them in baseball card boxes. If you aren't selling, I'd make smaller batches. I use the WSP/Bebe silicone molds which make 8 bars. My recipe for this size has 750 g of oils.

I was thinking that my batches were a little large:> I looked at WSP website the other day and thought their molds looked nice. I just love my nizzy mold so much and can do such nice swirling and textured tops that I hate to give it up! I guess I'll just have to save for a smaller mold.

I have about 50-60 bars curing right now, and I make batches ranging between 5 and 16 bars at a time.

What will you do with all that soap if you don't sell? :D Give them as gifts?

I have these in a cardboard box in my laundry room:

...and I have two more sliced loaves in my kitchen. As soon as they hit the 6 week cure date, I will give them away in exchange for honest feedback :D

depending 8 12 bars fairly small 2-3 oz each . Somewhere around 30 -40 bars I'm not allowed make more until At least a batch gets used but I will be home alone next week so hehehe soaping after work sat sun thurs and maybe Fri.

I just started soaping but I already have about 30 bars for the week. I make two more batches today and my goal is to make at least two batches per day as long as I can afford it! :D

Just wash a lot    .

I have no idea what I will do with my soaps. I guess I will have to sell them at some point. :D

Right now I have about 30 or 40 curing. And thats after I cleaned out my soaping area and gave a butt ton of bars away!

I just personally tried making soap.

I have 3 full bars 2 1/2 bars curing. I could not resist trying to make soap. So far 1 have burned 1 finger, and irritated my very normal skin and scared my business partner to near death. lol

I will repost here when I get this ball rolling full swing.

wow you guys are WORKING!

I am a beginner I made two batches of about 6 soaps each(around 500g each batch), and now I'm back to thinking phase and figuring what other combinations and improvments I would like with my soaps... and what will be my next order from the holistic shop that I work with...

I probably have about 30 or so. I generally make 1 batch over the weekend. This was much harder to do when I first started, but since I just make it to use myself and give away, I had to learn to reign myself in so that I didn't spend just a ridiculous amount of money. I also keep my batches limited to 8-12 bars depending on the molds I have. I'll ramp up a bit later this summer as I start thinking about holiday gifts

I have 4 3# batches curing - they were requested as gifts for our son's beach wedding in Texas next week! So right about 50. I have a few extra that I'm giving out to other family members.

Years ago I began selling because I didn't know what to do with all the bars from the different batches!! Fortunately it all turned out real well - and I'm still at it. Actually it was our son who wanted the soap for the rehearsal dinner gifts - he's in love with my lilac. Go figure .... !! :D

I dont sell either. Since Im on a trying new things kick I keep my batches down to 2-3 lbs. I have about 40 bars curing and 70 cured. Ive been slowing down to a batch every 4 days or even a week. I just have so much. I like the variety of 8 diff bars in my shower though.

Right now I just started back up with making soaps. I have one batch of 28 fresh out of the mold, plus will have another batch going in later today, not to mention about a dozen individual bars in the new molds that will probably be filled later today as well.

My mold makes 28 bars of soap at 4oz each. When I'm cranking out soaps for shows, I try to do a batch every other day until I get all the scents I want. The most soap I've ever had around at one time was 70lbs, with 280 bars. Now not ALL was curing but the vast majority of it was.
Along with my loaf mold, I just purchase a few of the fancier molds at Michaels. I only have twelve 4oz cavities though, so I'll have to work with my recipe at its original batch size (1/4th what I use for the loaf).

I usually make batches that give me 11 bars at a time but I'm considering dropping the batch size because of an abundance of soap. I have over 100 bars curing that I've made since April and hundreds made prior. It's getting ridiculous.

I just made 30 bars of Oatmeal Milk & Honey. I love it! I waited about a week before making it - I have so many others curing, probably about 200 bars. Not selling it yet, still learning and making mistakes. My friends love it though!
