I have been duly influenced by some of the best folks here. I am thinking of creating a hot cocoa soap. I have cream (whipping cream) that I could use as part of or all of my liquid with the lye. So it would be like a milk soap, then make a chocolate soap with just a little cocoa mixed throughout for scrubbies (or just aesthetics). How about some shaved chocolate curl thingys for the very top layer of the soap, like just under the surface?

I made orange chocolate creme soap, cocoa powder, half n half, with orange essential oil. turned out pretty good but the cocoa powder doesn't give you anything but color. But the half n half makes for a very creamy bar. I will probaly try it again with chocolate FO added to the cocoa part.

That sounds Lovely Jarvan!

You know we want pics when your finished!!

Do you do slab molds, log molds, or individuals.

Just trying to picture how this would be on the top side..... i use log molds.

I wanna make chocolate soap now too!

I'm making cocoa soap today, too! Chocolaty bottom with an unscented pure white whipped topping piped on with a deco tool. Chocolate Jimmies on top.

I have a question......... what would happen to coconut flakes if you were to add them ....... would they turn brown?

One issue to watch for. I made Chocolate mint soap and coloured it with cocoa, I used a wee bit too much cocoa and now every time I shower I bleed brown. It washes off of course but it's a little disconcerting at first to see yourself getting dirtier before you get cleaner.

I've done that! Now I just make sure I use a FO with a heavy vanilla, it browns everything up nicely in a day or two.

I only have loaf molds right now. I wish I had a silicone cupcake holder, but I guess the important thing is to get a soap that works and if need be, then get a different mold. I don't know how to make pure white soap. If I did, I would find a way to make mini marshmallows that were made of soap. Then I would pour the batch into a mold too big for the batch so the bars would be the height of the mold and top them with the fake marshmallows. Just one more thing for me to work on.

I just have to find some motivation today. I severely lack in that department.
