I do occasionally attempt other peoples' work but it's almost impossible to maintain someone else's style so I had no fears of that

I copy for the fun of discovery. Then I either adapt, or abandon!

Exactly what I do. I can see something, try it and then if I can even get close (which most times I can't) I will then do something to it to make it unique to myself and my style.
