Hi all

Im new here :) im Amanda from NZ

Just starting out with soap making, and have a lot of questions to ask, as most newbies do :) look forward to getting to know you all :)

Hi hazel, thanks

Nope not as yet waiting on the ingredients in the post as we speak :)

Have you decided on your first batch? I remember I considered about a dozen different recipes before I settled on my first one. I ended up making Anne Watson's shea soap because it only had 3 ingredients and I thought it sounded easier. I didn't scent or color it because I was so nervous about my first attempt.

Thanks for the welcome :)

ahhh no i havent yet, i was sort of leaning towards an orange and poppy seed just cause of the lack of ingredients also, :)

but i havent really decided on hot or cold process yet, which one is easier?

Orange and poppy seed sounds wonderful! I think CP is easier but that's just my opinion. Have you looked at the soap tutorial page yet? If you haven't, reading over the tutorials might help you make a decision.

Before I tried HP, I read Ms. Brenda's tutorial several times and followed it for my first crockpot soap batch.

I hope this helps a bit.

You're welcome but I didn't do more than post links. I'm sure you would have found them on your own or someone else would have told you about them.

Good luck! I'm interested in seeing your first batch. :D
