Just wanted to introduce myself. I've been lurking for quite a while. Great forum...thank you all. I've been learning a lot here and picking up some great tips.
I live in Michigan with my husband, 2 horses, 2 dogs, 6 chickens and 4 goats. I had too much milk so I am using the excess for soap. It's fantastic! One of the best things I've ever done. I just started selling at a local indoor farmer's market this past week. I already have repeat customers. I won't get rich, but at least I can support the hobby.
All my soaps are made with goat's milk and most of my line is made with lard. I LOVE LARD! I CP and I don't worry about gel. Most of my soaps never gel. At this time, I only use EO's and natural colorants. LOL - that may change in time, but for now, I'm really happy with what I've made.
Thank you, everyone.
