I'm so delighted to have found this forum.

My daughter and I are despairing of finding any soap we can buy we don't have some sort of reaction to, so it just makes sense I should take up making our own.

I've made a few sample CP bars just to try out various oils, and they've worked out well, but I'm looking to try out hot process, as well as figure out how to make a decent bar that doesn't have some of the common things in it (coconut, palm oil, trans fats).

Who knows, by the time I get my hand in making our own soap, deodorant, and lotions, I might end up in business. Stranger things have happened.

I don't really expect to be selling anything, but I have a number of friends with similar allergy problems that would be happy to have a custom made soap they can use without worry.
