Taking a minute to delurk -- I never know what to say in these introduction posts...

Hi from the Seattle area! I've been soaping on and off for about 7 years or so. I had hoped a few years back to go into the soap making business via Etsy, but things got complicated in my life and that plan fell apart.

I stopped soaping about two years ago and am now just getting back into it and found this site while trying to look for answers on a few things (which I'll post in the appropriate sub forum)

Um.... I'm a pretty friendly person. Ask away if you want to know something!

Hazel, I think you are the first person that has EVER gotten the name reference! I also take the Roman Dirge cartoon (who got it from Poe to start with) as an acceptable answer. My avatar is too big to work on the forum -- I need to scale it down.

Aw, shucks. Thanks for the cookies. It's just that I used to read a lot of Poe when I was younger.

Lenore is a bit of a giveaway. :wink:

eta: Have you read "Nevermore" by Harold Schechter? Some people really criticized the book but I loved it. I thought it was well written and enjoyed picking out the references to Poe's writings.
