Hi all, my name is Beth and I've just started making my own natural bath/beauty products. I haven't ventured into soap yet, but I'd love to at some point. I'm here to soak up all the information that I can in between raising a three year old and an eight month old, and running a small time knitting business. :D

Hi Beth, funny thing....my daughters name is Beth and we are from Tennessee. I am in the beginning stages of the learning process, well I have many hours logged in to every forum, blog or supplier on the web trying to learn all I can learn from the experts. May I ask where in Tennessee are you located? I'm at the furthest west tip Memphis. I can't find a single soaper here aside from the author of The Soapermaker's Companion by Susan Miller Cavitch and I'm not sure she still lives in this area and of course I haven't met her. However, I am hoping that she may read one of my forum post and maybe just maybe contact me. I have her book and have read it cover to cover the only thing is all her batches are rather large. Much larger than I want to start out with. But, Steve from the Soap Making Resources website and of course Brambleberry has some that are broken down to smaller batches. Tomorrow, if I can get the lye I will make my very 1st batch while the kids are at school, thats the best time around here... after 3pm all heck breaks loose with two teenage girls living under the same roof, not to mention a 20 mth old and a poor sweet little 9 year old boy. lol.
Well Beth from Tennessee I am so happy I seen your post tonight, maybe your not to far away and can give me a few pointers in getting started not only with great soaps but how to sell soaps.

Much Respect and May God Bless your Richly
Wanda
