Hi, I'm Chimgee from Mongolia. I'm 44 years old woman with 3 kids. I'm going to start making soaps for my family business. I'm thinking to use goat milk, because Mongolia has so many goats, but the milk is not used.
I would appreciate your help in starting my soap making business. I'm also looking for a partner worldwide. Welcome to Mongolia.

Hello Chimgee.

I have friends all over North and South America, Europe, China, and Japan, but I don't think I know anyone from Mongolia. It is very nice to meet you. And goats milk does make very nice soap.

As for a partner, most people that get into this business typically start out on their own and grow into something bigger over time. A large percentage is internet businesses only. You might want to be more specific with your goals and expectations.

As for my wife and I, this strictly as a passionate hobby. We have discussed the business side and do not want to get ourselves tied down. I put almost 40 years into a great technical career that I am now retired from, and not looking for another career. We just enjoy the grand kids, go boating, and make soap. :)

Best wishes.

Welcome to the forum!

If I had access to all that goats milk then I'd figure out how to dry it into powder and sell it to people in other countries.

Good luck!

Thanks for reply.

Thanks for your advice. I am now in making hard decision to change my career. I have been in information technology business for last 10 years. Now I think I am getting older for this career.
I had no time to realize my dream, making bath and body products. Making home made soap is good start, I thought. But I found out that soap making supplies, essential oils, colorant other ingredients are not available in Mongolia. So I will buy these from China. So I have to travel to China when my 11 months old baby grows bigger.
I will be happy to become your family friend from Mongolia!

Best regards
Chimgee

I spent 40 years in an Information Technology career, but I did have a passion for it. I did some teaching part time at our local university as a change of pace and really enjoyed it. You might consider something like that if your tired of project work.

Soaping is one of my retirement passions. I am very sorry to hear that you do not have good access to supplies there. Maybe that will change over time.

Best wishes.
