I've never done a forum before this is my 2nd try at a posting hopefully it works. Anyway I'm from Ontario Canada and live on a dairy farm. I use the milk to make cp soap which I have been doing for about 6 months and absoluty love it. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone and sharing.

Hi Angela!
I have a farm that has dairy, but it's not the primary function of it. It's great to hear from some one else new with cows. What kind do you have?Mine are Jerseys. Did extra milk prompt you to start making soap? It's one of the driving factors for me.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I heard about this forum by googling cp soap forums. We milk 50 holstein cows, and the dairy business is doing very well. I tried a piece of cp soap last year loved it so much, so I took a class to learn how to make it myself. Since we have so much milk I thought why not use that instead of water. It does make a nice creamy soft bar. I imagine your cows have a higher butter fat than my holsteins so you may have an even creamier bar.

I am from Ontario and grew up on a dairy farm in Eastern, Ontario in Glengarry County, not far from Ottawa or Montreal. That was long ago and now I live in Toronto.

I think you will find this a very useful and addictive site. I spent several days browsing before I decided to join and I am happy that I did. I hope you are too.

I look forward to seeing your soap or B&B products.

Will you be dipping into the bulk tank for milk/cream for your soaps? Shh, I won't tell the OMMB.
