Help with decorative log soaps

I'm trying to make MP soap from a log mold. Ive seen some people make some really nice designs with specks of what appear to be herbs or spices in and out of each piece. Does anybody know of some good links that might show some different ideas and techniques? Or anybody here able so share theirs? Im very interested in making a boring old log cut look special. Thanks!
