I am quite new to soap making, but very eager to learn! So far I have made one batch of cold process soap, which I split with my sisters and mom and we all ordered scents and customized our trays (trays being disposable meatloaf pans lined with wax paper - I really do need to invest in some molds or something!). I am currently working on my second experiment, which is a liquid castile soap based on a tutorial I found on the web. I found your site because things didn't go according to plan, and I needed feedback quickly! And quick feedback was had, so I think I will make a home here :)

I'll have to report back on this current batch after I attempt to dissolve it :p

welcome Leanna. We all have had our flops! It just takes patience. A good site if you have not found it is the soapcalc.net with a lye calculator. It will help you formulate a good recipe and keep your lye in check.
I have been making soap for about 5 years. Lots of people here with all kinds of experience. Be careful on what you find on the web.
A good site is www.teachsoap.com. I read that website cover to cover when i first began soapmaking and they have some good recipes to get you started. If you ever need help just ask.
