My name is Solaan, I live in UK and used to make soap some thirty years ago (or maybe more) so now I'm like a newcomer again - that's fun! I'm looking forward to sharing with everyone.

Hi Solaan,

Welcome to the forum! :D I'm sure you'll quickly remember all the skills once you get back to it. Are you making anything right now?

newcomer

Thank you for your welcomes! You are right, much like any obsession, soap never lets you go. I've some pure olive oil soap curing at the moment, scented with geranium EO. It's only a week old so it's still quite tender. Before I made mostly kitchen soap and floor-scrubbers so this is quite a departure for me.

Welcome

Hello again and thank you for the most recent welcomes. My olive oil soap is curing quite nicely but is a taste crumbly round the edges. I cut it on Jan. 6th so I suppose it is early days.
I think maybe I'll make something new this week to stop me getting impatient. Does anyone have a recipe for a soap to help mature skin, please?

I would use a regular recipe, but with a higher superfat. I have mature skin and my skin loves the ones that are more superfatted.
