My name is Jacqueline (45 years old) and I live in the Netherlands with my husband, 2 horses, a dog and 2 cats.
I'm so excited being on the forum! In Holland we only have one small soapmaking forum and although it is great to communicate in your own language I love the US-people. I make my own creams/bath products for over 5 years now and I'm just recently into soapmaking. I LOVE it.
Still have to learn an aweful lot, but that's OK. I hope to start my own Webshop in a few weeks, so I hope to sell some (just for the fun) so I can buy more ingredients to make lots more.....
Here in Holland it is so difficult to find a supplier for jars and other packaging. There are only a few and they have only the ugly brown glass jars. So I bought on Ebay some packaging. But when I saw the websides from the US-suppliers that you mentioned on the forum, I went grazy!!!! WOW, that is quite something. But I got depressed immediately because most of them (maybe all) will only ship domestic/in the States or Canada....?????? Hope I will find one that will ship to the Netherlands, maybe one of you knows?
Anyway, I just wanted to say HELLO!
(and sorry for my poor English with perhaps lots of typo's...) [/b]

Welcome to the forum:) You can try phoning or emailing the company to see if they would mail internationally. Chances are they will, they just don't point it out. I wonder how the dollar exchange is - are the products you are looking at inexpensive enough that the cost to ship would still be worth it?

abselutely! the dollar-euro rate is good for europeans; and in holland prices are sky high.
For example, for very bad FO you pay over two dollars for 10 ml, so $200 for 1 ltr.
A basic soapcutter costs about $20
jaqueline, good luck with finding a supplier; there are several suppliers who do deliver to the Netherlands.

hey jacqueline,
Yes I do.
Those are beautiful! However, if i'm not mistaken, they do ship outside the usa, but expect you to pay in advance and sign a form in which you
state to give up all your rights and the company is not responsible for any loss, damage or delay.
Plus the shipping time is 4 to 6 months... So that's not acceptable for me.
these companies ship to europe, altough I haven't tried one yet. Still trying to fiend a decent one...
Often you can fiend out if they ship to Holland or not under Policies & Terms.

Welkommen Jacqueline.

Ik woen naar Canada.

I am a Canadian with Dutch heritage. I am the first in the familie geborn naar Canada. Mijn ouder Broers (twee) were geborn op Barneveld. Some of the familie van mij still woennen naar Barneveld.

As you can read here my Dutch is very, very bad but I try to visit my family in the Netherlands as often as I can.

You will enjoy being in this forum. Everyone is very friendly and very helpful. I have become just as addicted to this site as I am to soap making.

Hi Jody,

Nice mail....I live more in the North East part of Holland but do know Barneveld. And I can understand some Dutch words that you mailed.
Maybe we meet again on the forum, take care!

Jacqueline
