I made a batch if CP soap several years ago, which my husband really liked, but then I got caught up with other things that became my priorities. And soaping was put on the back burner till 8 months or so ago. My mother has been making soap so I get all my body soap from her
I am especially intrigued with shampoo bars. I have been buying them, but I have oodles of recipes and notes, and will be giving them a try.
My family has been commercial shampoo/detergent free for 7/8 months now. Our hair is loving it. Of course, some bars work for our hair better than others.

Welcome! I'm interested in shampoo bars too. But I'm super new to soap making (haven't done my first batch yet) so that will be something for when I'm more proficient. I can't wait till I can say we're commercial soap/detergent free too. ^_^
