Hi All,

wouldn anyone be able to share the Basic handwash receipe using coco betain and glycerin. I dont want use the either SLES or Castile soap.
thank you

Sure,thank you
Here's a really basic gentle handwash from my collection ....

PhaseIngredients%
AXanthim Gum/Guar Gum 1.5
AVegetable glycerine20
you can mix gums with water but I find
using glycerine is better. I heat my glycerine
then add gum and whisk and whisk. Allow to cool as working with phase B
Phase B
BDecyl glucoside6
BCoco Glucoside5
BCocamidopropyl Betaine10
Bwater-soluble extracts1
BDistilled water55
Bpreservative1
Bessential oil fragrance0.5
you don't really need to heat surfactants like you would in usual formulas
instead add surfactants then water then whisk in the glycerine + gum mixture
stir gently until combined.
phase CpH testing
Ccitric acid or l-arginine as required
to lower pH: add citric acid solution as needed
to raise pH use a 10% l-arginine solution

I have lots of formulas but this is a pretty simple one. I use Solagum™ AX (Acacia Senegal Gum & Xanthan Gum) as a thickening agent when making "natural" formulas.

Hope this helps.
