Does anyone know why my green mica turned my soap red when I added it to my lye/oil mix? I'm making a Christmas tree soap with Fir essential oil and the brambleberry shamrock green mica. I made the same recipe last year and it didn't change colors on me. It's like it oxidized somehow? I just poured so haven't cut yet to see if the color will come back somehow but I doubt it. I just want to know how this happened so I can avoid it. Thanks!

There are reviews on the BB website that mention color morphing and also a response from BB about the reformulated version not morphing.
Thanks. I hadn't seen that as I really don't use them much anymore. I just had the color left and wanted to use it up. It is the same color I used last year and it came out a beautiful green so no idea what the difference would be this time.

My green turned brown a few days ago, then morphed back to green as it cured. Maybe there is hope?
I hope so. It does look like it is changing some but it's more of a weird grey under the red at the moment... We'll have to see when I cut it.

I have a green that goes diarrhea brown before morphing back to a lovely green. Freaked me out the first time! I cut it and stuck in my "yuck" curing area and a few days later it I was surprised to see such a nice green.
Well, I cut it and we're in the diarrhea brown phase... Still crossing my fingers that it goes green!
