The size of the mold
I'm new to soap making forgive me if these questions sound quite naive. I've read many books on soap process however application is a whole different ball game.If you are referring to grams of soap batter, it will depend on how big you cut your bars. Thank you MarnieSoapien. We were all beginners once. The mold you are looking at is probably too big. Most of us suggest starting out around 500-1000 g of soap batter until you get the hang of soap making and find a recipe that you like.
Thanks alot42 141 g bars (5 oz) 52 113 g (4 oz bars). Requiring about 4225 g of oil to create a 5940 g batch. I would suggest you find a smaller and not waste that much oil in case the batch fails or you simply do not like it.
