We are 3 weeks into the cure and the soap is still very soft. It is hard to describe but the outside feels hard but when you press it indents easily. Is there a way I can speed up the water evaporation process of curing? Like putting it in the oven?

Jessrof, your soap looks wonderful. I was actually thinking about beer soap last night (I had insomnia thinking about soap as I lay in bed...) and wondered if you could make a "beer" soap with root beer or if you could make a cider soap with hard cider? Has anyone tried those or know how they would work?
yes, you can make "root beer" soap, this is mine!

I LOVE that subtle swirl! Mind sharing how you did that?
You know, this is the biggest mystery in it'self because this happened quite naturally! It was the strangest thing that i have ever done soaping :wtf: i did do an in the pot swirl with a little TD mixed in a portion but NONE of my other soaps using this method turned out looking like this oddity.

It had to be the root beer i think.

Thats great. Any insight on speeding up water evaporation from my gooey soap?

I thought you weren't suppose to let beer soap gel because you risk a volcano. I was apprehensive about the recipe in general. What are you other future beersoapers using as a recipe? I also found a recipe of 44% crisco, 28% olive oil, 28% coconut oil. Do you think this one would work better?

I spoke to a Soaper who sells at shows and in a dedicated soap store and that is very close to the recipe that they use to master batch most of thier soaps.

I really love your root beer soap, Royalty! I am seriously thinking of making one... Hmmm, what kind of fragrance would I use... the other thought I had would be to make a ginger beer soap with a ginger EO or FO... of course, all this means getting more fragrances probably.. lol.

I'm thinking I may have to make a second batch too, it's very popular! I used vanilla FO because I couldnt think of anything else and rootbeer smells kindof vanilla-y anyway IMO. Ginger beer soap....do it! I have ginger essense FO that i am dying to use. I'm gonna combine it with peach!

The ginger and peach mix sounds delicious!! Yeah, I think the ginger beer soap is in my future for sure :)

NG has a rootbeer scent! It's b&b safe, but I am not sure how it would hold up in CP. I've only used it for my niece/nephews bubble bath fizzies. :)
