Hello, fellow enthusiasts!

My name is Scott Miller and I have been making melt-and-pour glycerin-base soap for personal use for 25 years.
I have no real idea what I am doing but my soap helps my bad skin better than anything I have ever bought at the store. That said, I want to refine my process and add ingredients at the most effective strength for the given purpose.
I would love any suggestions here, but I really need to interact with other people in my area so we could possibly work together and share ideas to make us ALL better collectively!
Do you know how to even look, what stores might have leads, etc? I am located in Portland, Oregon, am a Military Veteran, and age 56!

Please help me gain insight on proper way to add ingredients, amount that best serves for the purpose, and best ways to preserve and verify results! :)

Perhaps you need to start by getting familiar with the basic information on making melt and pour. I rarely use M&P but know there are limits to how much you can add to the base. Here’s a link for a BrambleBerry YouTube playlist on making M&P that may be useful until other more knowledgable members stop by.

Welcome to SMF! Would you be willing to try your hand at making cold-processed soap? You will have so much more control over all of the ingredients. Many of my family’s skin issues pretty much disappeared, others were greatly improved, once I started making HP and then CP soap from scratch. Using lye isn’t that scary, we promise!

I've had a recent (11 months ago) experience where my soap recipe was instrumental in helping me heal/recover from psoriasis. Story's in the description.
I'm not in your area, and obviously have my own experieces, But I think I may be able to help with healing ingredients. With more information.

Outside your requirement, perhaps. Ask what you wish.

Pay attention to your water btw
