Howdy,

My second batch came out exactly as I wanted! I know these won't be ready in time for Halloween, but I can at least decorate with them. Soaping at a higher temp with full water and Hazel's recipe gave me tons of time to play.

Charcoal black soap with drop-swirl: purple CP and Orange M&P. The Orange also has glowing powder mixed in. The M&P behaved weirdly: it didn't break-through at first, just sat pooled on top. When I poured the purple on top, it slid underneath. Maybe I had it too warm...

I used Orange EO and Clove EO on this one. I like the fragrance for the most part but next time I'll use more clove.

Thanks so much to Hazel and everyone that helped me diagnosis my previous batch troubles!

Sorry this is a little blurry; it's a little hard to photograph glowing things.

Very cool and those are great colors for Halloween. I'm glad the recipe helped to give you more time to play.

BTW, does anyone else see the woman's profile in the upper left hand soap? She has long, black hair and it makes me think of a painting by Gauguin.
